What is the MHOSA IROC Challenge? -- it's a series of "casual" race events for beginners designed to remove the anxiety and introduce beginners to the hobby of slot car racing.

Kickoff (Late Summer 2010, dates TBA) -- The kickoff race will be held at Extreme Mini Golf and consist of identicaly prepared cars for all participants.  Entry fee is $10.  Additional practice events will be held before the series begins.  The series schedule will be posted in September and will consist of several races for beginners through early December.

Do I have to race against others? -- Sure!  But you will only be racing against other beginners in a "low key" fun-oriented series where focus is on helping beginner learn and enjoy the hobby.

What equipment do I need? -- None for the kickoff race.... just bring yourself with an open attitude for having fun.  Equipment needed for the series will be outlined at the kickoff event. 

How much does it cost? -- Only $10 per person for the kickoff race.  Cost of equipment needed for the series will be outlined at the kickoff.  Estimated cost is about $100 for the 8 race, three month series.

What is the Schedule for events? --  Races are held on weekday evenings.  Races begin at 7:30p and tracks are open for practice at 5:30p.  Racing is usually finished by 10:00p.

What if I can't make it to all the races? -- MHOSA encourages participants to come often, but understands that it is not always possible.  The more often you attend, the more fun you will have!
