What is Lite Slip-on Class? A new driver class aimed at making entry to the hobby fun and easy by lowering cost and reducing complexity. The program is specifically designed to remove any apprehension a beginner might have due to inexperience or lack of know-how. Who is eligible? Just about anyone is eligible. The class is designed for beginner and inexperienced folks interested in the hobby. As an entry-level class, folks new to the hobby will be expected to race this class for at least one season. What do I do? What do I need? Nothing at first… just bring yourself to a race and check out the fun. MHOSA has loaner cars and controllers for newbies. How much does it cost? Enjoy your first race on MHOSA. There are no dues or entry fees for first timers. After that, it’s only $4.00 per race evening. Eventually, new or used competitive cars can be purchased for $30 to $50. Controllers can be purchased for about $25.00. What is the structure
of MHOSA? MHOSA hosts races every other Thursday -- see schedule. There are
Fall, Winter and Summer
seasons. Each season will produce a
Lite Slip-on Season Winner. Racers
receive Lite championship points for each race. What if I can't make it to all the races? MHOSA encourages participants to come often, but understands that it is not always possible. The program is designed to be flexible so that it is not necessary make it to make every race to be a season winner. The more often you attend, the more fun you will have! There are awards and prizes at the end of each championship season. What other classes does
MHOSA have? MHOSA
offers a migration path to other
driver and car classes to meet your growth in interest and development
as a
driver. Need more
